Editorial & Listing Standards
Listing sources
Listings are created from information supplied by the business, or compiled from the business’s own public sources. Researched listings show their source and the date the information was checked. Facts that cannot be confirmed are left out and shown as “Not provided.”
Labels
- Sponsored — the business paid for placement. Always labelled; never an endorsement.
- Claimed — an authorised representative verified their affiliation and manages the profile.
- Information verified — specific details (named on the listing) were checked by the directory. Verification of contact details does not verify workmanship, insurance, licensing or credentials.
- Sample — demonstration data used in previews, badged “SAMPLE — demo listing” with placeholder contact details.
What we never do
- Invent ratings, review counts, awards, customer numbers or statistics.
- Copy third-party reviews without permission and attribution.
- Present stock or illustrative imagery as a company’s completed work.
- Sell positive reviews, ratings or verification.
- Give paid placements an undisclosed ranking advantage.
Corrections
Anyone can suggest an edit or report a problem from a business profile. Reports are reviewed in the moderation queue. Businesses can claim a listing to correct it directly after verification.
Guides
Articles are written to be useful without inventing precise prices, rebates, regulations or savings. Time-sensitive claims carry sources and a checked date.
